I was gift a set of the xl gloves. They were excellent, but, after a very forgetful action on my part i destroyed them – turns out that while the gloves are very much heat resistant if you leave them in a 450 degree oven for a long time then the insides and the logos get very messed up – long story….
I replaced them with the smaller size because the xl were comically large. This size actually fits my hands well. I usually wear a medium mens glove (occasionally large depending on the fit). Pretty average sized hands. They are perfect.

I use these when handling hot foods from the grill and on the flat top. The flat top gets really hot, and these gloves keep the heat away. The length keeps your arms from getting burnt by the heat. To clean them i just put them on put detergent on the gloves and wash them just like you would your hands. Would definitely buy them again.

These gloves are super sturdy and thick with a good lining. I have a pair of welder’s leather gloves that also work well around my smoker but are difficult to keep clean. I used these recently when i smoked a 90 pound piglet. They worked great for a sanitary way to pull all that pork.

Got these in and have used them a few times and they work amazingly. Cant feel any of the heat thru them and they come up to my elbow. Im 6’4′ and have long arms. About my only complaint would be they are a bit stiff because of how thick they are but i assumed that going in.

I can put these on and grab anything hot. I can stick my hand in boiling water, grab hot pans off the fire, flip burgers on the grill.

I am very impressed with these gloves; they fit my rather large hands just fine and i had no issues handling anything on my grill with them. They are very easy to clean and i expect them to last me quite a long time.

I used the gloves to remove hot meat from the grill without any heat transfer. Grip and control of the product was not an issue. I have also used them to remove the hot grate. My wife used them to reach into boiling water, and remove canning jars. She obviously didn’t hold her hands under water for long periods of time, however she was able to complete this task safely and without being burned.
I am now in the process of buying a second pair for our summer residence.

Used at a campsite. Was able to move logs and cast iron after being in the flames. Does get hot after a little, but still does what is described in the product description

This is an update after purchasing , very pleased with purchase.
Pro’s
1.holds up we’ll with heat 2. Long cuffs. 3. Easy on and off.
Con’s
1. Fingers are a bit large ( hard to slip fingers into “bear paws” for shredding pork. 2. Liner has thinned out over use. Over all i would highly recommend.

Gloves are great but are very large. The option was med or xllrg. Xtlrg were very big and hard to feel pan i was holding. Gloves do protect from heat and, i love the length, just need more sizes. Gloves also clean easily!.

If you’re dipping poultry into hot water to loosen feathers for plucking these are your gloves. The repeated dipping motion needed to ensure penetration of hot water into the chicken’s plumage normally results in potential splashing and the water rising in the pot. No longer does one’s grip fail as your hand is amply protected by these gloves.

Good product. The xl size is a little big for my hands but still useable. I would have gotten l but only m and xl were listed when i bought.

Heat resistance is not necessarily better than regular oven mitts, but the rubber coating and having your fingers available make them great for grabbing meat right off the grill. No more messing around with tongs!

Good but not great heat resistance easy to maneuver

They seem to be of very high quality, good construction. Dexterity is pretty good. It’s pretty easy to clean them by wearing them while “washing your hands” with a little dish soap under the faucet.

I feel a bit more heat through them than i’d expected. I have a grill basket for small items (eg veggies or shrimp) that is too hot to hold with these gloves for more than a couple seconds, which is disappointing and why i only gave them 4 stars (i can hold this basket indefinitely with a regular thick-ish potholder).

I got the short version, which is not bad, but i’d get the long ones instead if i were doing this again (i’m pretty tall, not sure if that makes a difference).

They work pretty well. If your looking to use your hands while smoking meats to move the meat then these will work. On the other hand if you are looking for something that can hand 400-500 degrees then no. They are basically thick rubber gloves with little insulation. They also have minimum grip once the oils from the meat get on them. But like i said if you want to lift the ribs off, or grab the boston butt when it’s done then these work just fine.

This is a great product and works great. However, it has a chemical smell. That said, if you are dealing with fires, cooking, grill/broil, bbq, boiling, frying etc, this product is great. It is sealed and will protect your hands against hot oil and fluids, and is easy to clean.

Great fitting gloves, just not heat resistant of temperature over 500 degrees

Purchased these for the grill master in the family and i / he has not been disappointed. He likes the length and the fact that he can reach in the smoker with a feeling of security. They are easy to clean (so far—- used 3x’s). I wish they were more flexible, but what oven mitt is? Maybe with more use. I am just hopeful that flexibility does not compromise heat protection.

Bought these for the hubs.. He was looking for a while, so i thought i’d just help him along. He loves using them when he’s grilling, he can turn potatoes on the grill without using tongs that can be hard to maneuver. You can’t hold something too hot for too long but long enough to move/turn it quickly. The only reason i didn’t give it 5 stars is because the length of the glove is shorter that expected so the heat does tend to burn the top of your arms a little when using them. But over all a great buy.

They work fine, but they are not as well insulated as i had expected. I need to handle a 450 degree bbq spit quickly.
