Ring Stick Up Cam Solar HD security camera with two-way talk, Works with Alexa – White

Very good cameras and the app is very user friendly. It took a little tweaking to get the motion zone and sensitivity set how we wanted it. I also bought two indoor cameras that i was going to put inside the house facing outside through a window, this did not work as i had planned because of the glare that the camera put on the window at night. During the day it would be fine but it does not work at night. I have a front and back covered porches on my home so i mounted them outside and they aren’t really exposed to the elements since the porches are covered so i am not worried about them getting wet. Overall we are pleased with all 3 cameras we have and the solar panel is great, i haven’t had to worry about the battery in the outdoor camera. They have all been running for 3 months without any issues. I will say that if you buy more than 1 camera you will only have a month free then you will have to pay monthly/yearly your camera….but if you buy a second camera you can activate it the day your trial ends and you can get another month free. So if you buy 12 cameras and activated 1 a month you would get a year without having to pay for the subscription.

Love all of my ring products. Easy installation, easy connecting to wifi, just what we wanted for securing the exterior of our home.

After filling charging the battery, which took about 4.5 hours out of the box, setup took maybe 10 minutes. Video and audio is clear.

This works really great in a blind spot around my house. It was easy to install and add to my other ring camaras, and with the solar panel i dont have to worry about adding to my electric bill.

We’ve been using the ring system for a while now and i absolutely love it. It’s easy to use and easy to expand. We now have 10 cameras and several other attachment items. It integrates very well with other accessories from other companies and works great with alexa!

Great quality great picture. Half charged the battery when i first got it. Have had solar charger hooked up over 6 months and haven’t had to charge it yet. Plan on buying 2 more very soon

This is exactly what i needed and the solar keeps it charged instead of having to worry about charging a battery all the time. I bought 2 of these and thinking of buying another one.

They are okay, just that need to have wifi close to it or they stop having internet and need to take the battery to off and put it on again to get the wifi to reconnect

These cameras work great with my weak wifi signal i was still able to capture good quality video at about 50 ft away zoom works good

I wish i would have bought the floodlight instead. This was easy to install but has a very limited range & can’t see too much at night even with night vision.

These are great for a location where it is difficult, if not impossible to get electricity. As long as you can get a wifi signal, they will work reasonably well. Night vision is good, not great. Motion detection is good, not great. Motion detection is adjustable in both distance and area. Daylight vision is very good. These are good detectors, especially for the price. We have four setup as driveway and building security cameras.

Easy install

I use this camera outside for the front of my house. I chose this camera over the spotlight one because the picture during the day is much better and since i already have lights in the front of my house, the light on the spotlight would be useless. I was very excited when i got this camera but a few days after installation, the connection failed. Went and reset it and it did well for a few weeks before the connection to the wifi failed again. My wi-fi router is less than 10 ft away and the only thing “blocking” the signal is the window. After that i completely removed the device from my account and set it up as a new device, and 5 days later the connection failed.
The camera just sits up there now for over a month now, not recording anything because i’m tired of having to reset it. That’s the whole reason i bought the solar panel as well, so i didn’t have to be going to change the battery. I wanted to install it and be done, but done is far from what i’ve been doing. Today is 9/6/20 and i have finally decided to reset it again and if it loses connection again, i’ll come back to let y’all know how long it took

the camera hasn’t lost its signal and i’m a bit surprised. I guess during the time that my camera was not in use, ring updated the system to fix the connection issues. Since using my camera again, the motion settings in the app have improved. You can customize the zones for motion detection which is great because i didn’t enjoy receiving 15 notifications an hour just to know people were driving by my house. My only issue now is how long it takes for the app to load when i click a notification. By the time the camera opens, whatever and whoever is gone and then it takes a few minutes for the review video to be available

I have two cameras with the solar panels. They have stayed charged and the camera picture seems good. I’ve been pleased with them. Easy instillation. Night vision picture quality is better than i expected.

These little cameras are pretty handy. Great picture and i’ve got six of them that are solar powered and they want amazing i don’t think i will ever buy one this plug-in again i have not had one minutes problem with any of them and these cameras have saved me from two attempted incidents already on my property. These are expensive as hell ($150 camera and solar panel) for what they are but well worth it… Quality ain’t cheap… Cheap ain’t quality! Guess you have to decide if your items and family are worth the150, hard, sweat equity earned dollars… Happy shopping!

Unlike my ring doorbell, the audio quality sucks and is pretty much nonexistent. Checked wifi signal and it seems to be fine. Tried to get help customer support and it is apparently down also. Come on ring! I’m souring on your whole deal. Update: after sorting out some wifi issues and a software upgrade, i have added 2 stars for a total of 4. Serves adequately in a situation where i did not want to run electrical. Sometimes i wish the camera turned on sooner and recorded longer even with these setting turned up.

Works great but need sun – i live in the north west (west side), where is rains often, mostly during the fall and winter months. This means lots of non sunny days. During this time i had to pull the battery and charge it, twice.
