This eliminates the need to drain fuel before storing your equipment and ensures quick easy starts the next time you go to fire it up. This product is highly effective in all gasoline, including ethanol and non-ethanol blended fuels. Whether using 87, 91, or 93 octane gas ethanol or non-ethanol blended gas still goes bad. This product is great for bulk gas storage, as well as collector cars, small engines, generators, and boats. Treat rate is 1oz to 2 1⁄2 gallons of gas. If using with small engine equipment it is best to add sta-bil storage to your gas can. This way every piece of equipment you fill with that can is treated. How do you use the sta bill dispenser to get two ounces in the stem

Loosen the cap on the stem by pressing down on it while turning. Make sure that the other cap is tight.
Squeeze container slightly and you will see liquid flow up the tube on the side and into the stem.
It might be necessary to loosen the cap on the main container to allow air in to replace the liquid dispensed to the stem.

How many ounces should i put in my 07 zx6r? Ratio to gas?

Friend who owns small engine shop says it won’t hurt to add more. Basic rule of thumb he said for me to use it 1 oz per gallon. Overkill yes but you’ll never have issues.better yet buy the highest obtain fuel you can get. In my case i use 93 octane fuel and use 1 oz per gallon. Again, have never had an issue, even with a chainsaw sitting for over 9+ months. Always starts on first/second pull.do the same for cars that i have let sit in storage. Even at 87 octane. Still do an oz per gallon especially with the ethanol mix (10% here).make sure to mix and then run engine so stabil is in the fuel lines all the way up to the engine. It does no good if you just put stabil in the tank but it is not in the carb or injectors.

Will it work for 2012 honda accord lx sedan? Which style of sta-bil do i need to buy ? 22208 or something else ?

Sta-bil isn’t vehicle dependent – it will work fine in modern vehicles. But it isn’t a fuel treatment. It is a fuel stabilizer that allows you to keep the poor gasoline mix we get these days usable for many months. If you are going to store your 2012 accord for up to a year (maybe two) this is the stuff to use.

Can this be used year round, even while running the mower?

Hi. Thanks for the question. Yes, you can certainly use sta-bil all year-round as it does help in keeping the fuel system clean and the fuel as fresh as possible while in use. If there are any questions, please feel free to contact us at producttechsupport@goldeagle.com.

Can i use this in a tao tao scooter that’s in storage for the (midwest) winter?

I used to run small engines (mower, grass trimmer, garden tractor, saw) empty for the winter. Now, i treat all gasoline with stabil when i purchase it and do not worry about running equipment dry for the winter. Once i started doing this i have had no problems starting them in the spring. I keeps the jets from clogging up while setting over the midwest winter and should work for any gasoline engine. I do the same for diesel tractors using stabil for diesels.

Is delivery fast?

As fast as any thing else amazon delivers.

Can i just pour expired sta bil into the gas tank of my automobile? Just to use it rather than waste it.

I’m sure it won’t hurt anything, specially with a full tank of gas.
I would just mix it in the small engine gas, it won’t damage anything.

Can this be used in cars that are sidelined for a couple months?

I’ve used it for that twice-no problem

What is the mixture ratio of sta-bil to gallons of gasoline?

1 ounce to 2/12 gallons of gasoline dependng upon how long you are storing it. Also you can google it to get more specifics.

How much do you use in a car

Read the direction on the bottle _____ per gallon , fill up your car with gas . Ind out how many gallons your car holds then , times the number of gallons by the direction on the bottle , add this amount to the gas tank , drive the car around for 15 minutes to get the sta-bil mixed in with your gas in the cars fuel system . This stuff really works , as mover, snow blower , weed eater , motor bikes , two or 4 cycle this stuff will save your motors for years to come , but you have to use it.

Can i put the 16oz container in my 150gallon gas storage tank?

Supposed to use 2oz per 5gal. 150gal/5gal is 30 units, x 2oz is 60. You should use 60 ounces of sta-bil for a 150gal tank. Afterwards, you would only need 2 ounces for every 5 gallon you use to refill the tank.
They say it is good for so many years (i forget the number) but i have had decent luck for longer time. If you are not using your 150gal that frequently, you may not want to fill it so full, but may need a filter on the hose for rust if you do. Good luck.

How is this product (sta-bil storage) different from sta-bil 360?

Sta-bil storage is designed for long term storage -up to 2 years. Sta-bil 360 protection stabilizes fuel for 12 months, but it also provides protection against corrosion and condensation issues. Plus, it also features a fuel system cleaner for improved performance. Hope this clarifies it!

How many gallons is this good for

One ounce treats two and a half gallons of gasoline.

After 2yrs, can i just add more stabilizer for another 2yrs?

No. Unfortunately adding more sta-bil brand product will not extend the life of the fuel. After 2 years, the fuel will continue to oxidize at its regular rate and should be used as soon as possible. Hope that helps!

Can u add it to gas in container 6 months old

Hello! Yes, you can. However, adding sta-bil® to older fuel will not make that fuel fresh again. Also, we do recommend to add to fresh fuel for best results. If you have any further questions please contact consumer support at producttechsupport@goldeagle.com

I have stored gas in gas cans for about a year and a half wheel this product be good for the situation

Ron, you must use sta-bil before you store the gas. It will keep gas fresh for one year.
If you double the dosage it will work for two years.

What’s the difference between this sta-bil (22208) and sta-bil 360?

Sta-bil storage is for keeping fuel fresh for a long period of time (more than 1 year). Sta-bil 360 will keep fuel fresh for a year, plus clean the fuel system, remove water, and corrosion inhibitors. Also it has a better treat rate for more of an every day use

Has anyone used this ‘marvelous’ product in automobile engines? Could it be used to ensure passing a smog test (other things being equal)? Thanks!

I see no reason that sta-bil could not be used routinely as others have said, but it is unlikely to make a smog-test-failing motor run better enough to pass a smog test. You would do better to do a thorough tune-up first, before the smog test.

After only 3 months without sta-bil, i can’t start my mower. Any tricks?

If you didn’t use sta-bil and let the engine sit full of gas without using it, you may have stale gas. Buy some fresh gas, empty out the current gas, and see if that fixes it. And then keep putting sta-bil in your gas when you leave your machine for extended periods.

Does this have a measuring cap?

No. This product does not have a measuring reservoir due to its 4oz size. There is a measuring reservoir system on the 8oz contain and higher sizes.

This is the stuff! Especially for small engines-winter storage

Sta-bil has been around forever. I see why!

I have a fleet of small engine equipment; mowers, chainsaws, outboard motors you name it. Whenever i have a 6 gallon gas can filled, i add sta-bil regardless when the gas might be used.

Before i wised up, i used to drain gas tanks for the winter. Result being carb issues with dried out seals. Now i drain the gas tanks and refill them with stabil added gas, let them run for 5 minutes an call them winterized. Come spring,, start first or second pull.

I have an antique 83 ford econoline van, been off the road since 2014. I filled the gas tank, years ago with sta-bil added gas. So 8 year old gas. I just went out and started it a few days ago- no hesitation and it purred like new. Eight year old gas.

I might be pushing my luck. Maybe time to replace the ancient gas with new stabil gas? That would ensure easy starting up to the year 2030?

Sta-bil is a lot less costly than a carb overhaul. Ethanol = water in the fuel. Sta-bil corrects this.

Does the job for my engines

You can get this stuff everywhere, but amazon sends it to my door for the same or better price. Not bad. Otherwise, everyone knows what this is for. My snowblower, tractor, mulcher, etc… All need good gas. The gas at the pumps is now terrible. This stuff makes it stable in storage for a long time. No gas goes to waste. It probably saves me money overall per bottle

Stabil storage red

The best you can buy been using stabil red storage for thrity plus years works great in my boats. Never have a problem in the spring. Will continue to use as long as i have a boat.

Product has not yet been delivered.

I like the product because i’ve used it for many years, but it still hasn’t been delivered, so i’m not very happy with the service.

Perfect for standby gas power!

I love this stuff. I store gasoline for my generator (as well as storing gasoline *in* my generator for half of the year due to inconsistent power in texas. I have used this to keep gasoline ready to use in those applications for a long time.

Where it really shines is cleaning/prepping dirty gas.

Recently i had run the generator out of gas and chose to siphon off what remained in the lawnmower for over 6 months. A little stabil added, and bang, generator started on the first try. This stuff is a miracle worker for anyone working with gas engines!

I’ve used this in the ethanol free gas i keep for the mower and trimmer for years as well as for use in my motorcycles. Keeps gas fresh. Never any issues in 15+ years i’ve used it.

Good for what i need

Good for what i need, though they need to be checked before shipping. One bottle was leaking. I know its before shipping cause i have found a lot of bottles leaking where i work. No diff anywhere else.
As for the driver today, very cool and easy to work with. Def one of the better out there.
I use sta-bil in everything from my car, lawn mower, snow blower, and gen. I even got a neighbor using it and now, every winter. Neither of use have any problem with starts. We both run everything out of gas and make sure its fresh at the end of the winter for next year. Lets just all face it, none of us check a lot at the start of sept. Its just not in the schedule for a lot of working people today. This is great where fuel is no longer heat cracked and lasts. It’s all chemical and this is needed due to the fact. It is fact, family owned companies and friends over the years.

It leaked inside the box

Although i didn’t lose half the bottle, it still leaked inside the cardboard box. I wasn’t too happy. But at least it’s supposed to work.

4Expert Score
Keeps my gasoline fresh for year-round use

I like the product but outside of bottles had solution on them, mine were sealed ok so must have come from other bottles were they came from, (should have been sold as such, ‘discounted’)

4Expert Score
Works as stated

Have used 3 times in mowers, edger, and snowblower, and in just a gas can works great and after winter season the engines burn the fuel without any problems just don’t add to much to fuel mix or the engines won’t burn the fuel.

4Expert Score
Stabilizer does help

Not a lot to say except this product will help you start your small engine with ease.i use it in my snowblower since its not always used daily.fuel with ethanol breaks down and gums up your small engines carburetor after sitting awhile so it’s not a guarantee but is a good investment to try and keep your expensive machines engine running smoothly and starting easily.
I still recommend running your fuel out or draining it if you will be storing your machine for an extended period of time.

4Expert Score
I used for years to storage gasoline in my shed.

Since i started using sta bil i haven’t get any problem starting my lawn mower using a few months stored fuel.

4Expert Score
Arrived opened and in a plastic bag

When it arrived it was in a plastic bag, so the shipper new it was leaking/opened. Wasn’t pleasant to use, appear to be about 80%-ish full. Won’t know if it will work, until i use the stored gas.

4Expert Score
Keeps gas lawnmower-ready

When hurricane season passes, whatever gas we don’t use in the generator gets used up by the lawnmower during the year. Sometimes a 5 gal can can sit around for a year or two if no hurricanes come. With this stuff it always works in the lawnmower with no noticeable issues. Even if the gas is a couple years old.

Works.

Use it regularly. Never a problem. Recommended
