Why do you not list the true demensions on your site?
Firstly, don’t listen to the answer from a.p.b., who defends the listed dimensions by referencing fence post measurements. The 2×4 situation is special in its own historic lore and industries’ shaving costs during the era. For an amazon seller to post improper dimensions of a tarp of all things is heinous and manipulative.
Secondly, to answer the question: either because they can list improper dimensions and made that choice, or what likely happened was a careless translation from the seller who isn’t keen on appealing to americans’ imperial system of measurement but still depends on the payout. I.e. China. When you are searching for cheaper items on amazon you have to be careful about the dimensions and back it up by searching the web. Nothing against china, the federal us laws regarding this are moreso the issue.
Please always report listings with improper dimensions when/if you can.

How far apart are the pole holes?
Advertised as a heavy duty tarp, i expected the holes to be approximately 18′ apart. I have purchased several tarps advertised as heavy duty, and that was the spacing i have always seen. The 24 x 36 tarp i received has spacing no less than 32′, and mostly about 36′. I know it won’t hold up to a strong wind like this, so i am purchasing a grommet installation tool that is costing me about what the tarp cost. Sad that they advertise it as heavy duty just based on the thickness.

Are the stated measurements of these tarp the ‘finished’ measurements ?
Yes, at least for me. I ordered a 12’x12′ and it was within an inch or so. Unfortunately, i needed it to be smaller and was expecting the finish size to be 6′ less that the cut size as is typical for tarps. It would be good if they gave this info in the specs.
Does the 12×20 have holes along sides so i can attach this to a canopy using bungee cords?
Yes, but be aware that the spacing is no where near even.
Would this be good to use as a tent footprint for camping?
Probably the only thing it would be good for without a ton of work reinforcing it.

Yes. Also the best tarp i have ever purchased. Will get many years use and it has more crommets than most.

I did not weigh it. But it wasn’t heavy. It’s a good tarp and i use it every day.

This tarp cover is not thick enough, the reason i say that it torn apart within a period of weeks, due to what i would call a wind of less than 40 mph.
