Can you see something?
Much depends on the sky and how you use the telescope. If the weather is good, you will be able to see jupiter, saturn, mars, and venus in almost all of the sky. It takes patience to find these stars, jupiter and saturn are exciting, especially saturn’s rings
What objects can be clearly seen with this telescope? Example: can i see the rings of saturn?
You can see mars, jupiter and all of its moon’s. An yes saturn too. You cant see the individual rings but you do see a ball of light with one massive ring. So you’ll definitely know that your looking at saturn…

Great telescope for beginners to observe the moon, i have had lots of fun with it since then. I have gotten some great shots through the lense.

Why i see all black?
Dear friends, if you see pitch black while using your telescope, please check the following:

2. Whether the observation target is aligned or the focus is not adjusted properly
3. Whether the weather is sunny, and whether the light source of the surrounding city is too strong

I know nothing about telescopes but my son wants one for his birthday. Would this be a good purchase for an 8 year old? The price is right
I purchased this for my 8 year old son. It’s easy to put together and use. The height adjustment is pretty good for a smaller child. I would recommend this for the price.
How quick is this to set up? I would have to store it in it’s bag, and put it together each time it’s being used.
Set-up is quick after the initial assembly of the spotter scope bracket and scope. You do not have to remove it for the telescope to fit in the carrying bag. The telescope attaches to the tripod in the same manner as a camera tripod. Very simple! I haven’t tried the smart-phone camera bracket but it also looks easy

If you want to see clear celestial objects, you need to be in a clear night sky, and the city lights are brighter, which will also affect the observation effect!
