Is this bottle leakproof?
Though it will obviously leak (little dribbles) if the top is not closed and the bottle is turned upside down or laid on its side.
For reference, we’re probably going to buy this for the third time in two years because it keeps getting lost. It’s leak proof and easy to clean (no mold).

What are our customers saying?
This is the 2nd thermos for my 2 year old. Got her the first one at 18 months as she had mastered the straw and got easily frustrated with the leak proof straw bottles which discouraged her from drinking. This is not a leak proof straw unless lid is closed. But when closed the bottle will not leak. I believe the marketing makes that clear. Like most clumsy two year olds, she has dropped this bottle many times or left it upside down with no spilling in my lv tote (with the lid closed).with that said, the first few days we spent some time playing with my little one and created a game of repetition; “open, drink and close. Open drink and close.” didn’t take too much time/effort just reminding her and she thought it was so fun. This was important because i read that it wasn’t leak proof and i wanted her to learn how to close it after drinking to avoid spills. She’s still developing her speech and communication so i wanted her to be able to hydrate herself in case she couldn’t communicate thirst. I’m impressed at how much water she drinks now, which we struggled with. She drags her bottle everywhere like our target runs. She’s picky with water and won’t drink it room temperature. The bottle keeps her water cool with a little. She subconsciously closes the lid now. But again, we trained her that way and tots are quick learners. So no issues/complaints these past 8 months. It’s easy to clean and the replacement straws are under $5 for a set of 2 at the red store. I do hand wash it though.
This water bottle is perfect for my 3 and 5 year olds. It keeps their water cold and is leak-proof when the lid is closed. The lid protects the drinking straw from dirt and germs. It’s easy to clean with no nooks and crannies to grow mold. Ours have not been treated gently and they’re still going strong. My only complaint is it doesn’t come with a little brush for cleaning the straws, but we had plenty of those around from previous failed water bottles. Wish i had found this sooner!
My little one started kinder this year. I gave her a regular water bottle to bring to school. She would complain that the water wasn’t cold. I got her this and she loves it. It keeps the water at the temperature she likes and was drinking more water than before. But then, she lost it at school i bought her a new one in a different color. Now she has 2 since we were able to find the pink one she “misplaced” at school.
Needed another one of these to differentiate my son’s thermos from his classmates. This is easy to take apart, clean, and reassemble. I love that they sell replacement parts for the straw and mouthpiece since my son has started chewing on it. We prefer this newer handle design (compared to the one that could snap hidden into the lid since it’s easier for him to grab. He loves the pokemon characters too.
I got this for a preschooler and am in love with how it works for him and how easy it is to clean.
If the top is closed there is no leakage, this is easy to do for the 4 year old and his 2 year old brother to do. And the cleaning is super easy, the straw is actually part of the gasket and there are no small crevasses to stress about getting clean.
Since it is a vacuum sealed bottle it keeps his drinks really cold for long periods of time.
These are my favorite water bottles for kids. I only replace them if we get a print and it starts to fade for the start of a new school year. Highly recommend purchasing replacement straws/sippers so you can swap that part out.
The fountainer is perfect for my granddaughter, who is the first grade. She uses it daily to carry her lunch beverages. I would recommend that they provide a supplemental replacement straw with the initial purchase.
I got this water bottle for my kid and it’s been working out really good. I had a bottle brush on hand so i was able to give it a good scrub and it was a lot easier to clean than i was expecting which was nice. I do always want to make sure i clean the straws that come with different cups and this one has a little straw but i have a straw cleaner so if you don’t have one of those i do recommend one of those it does help to keep it clean. Otherwise it’s sturdy it’s durable it’s a lot easier to clean the you think. It keeps my kid’s drink nice and cold especially on hot days. A bonus is that my kiddo really loves the design on the stainless steel travel water bottle which is a plus. He’s dropped it more than a few times and it’s been holding up nicely. It turned out to be a really good buy.
My 4yr old loves mario so this was an easy choice. Its his first year in pre-k 4 and they required a water bottle be sent to and from school. This was an easy choice as its the perfect size for him and he can manage it by himself. He just hits the button and the lid flips open. There is a straw inside that’s all one piece so it can be a pain if you disassemble it to clean. You dont need to take it out, but i did on the first rinse. Keeps his water nice and cool throughout the morning through lunch and he thinks its fun to drink water so its a win!
Our 3 yr old grandson loves it. He drinks water all day and uses it all day no matter where he goes
We bought this for my daughter mainly to take to daycare but we use it on trips, hiking, and in the car when running errands and it has worked great for all those purposes.
Our 3-year-old is not the gentlest when it comes to using anything really but the thermos funtainer is pretty tough. It’s been dropped from counter height and above and hasn’t completely exploded in our house. The clicking latch is really secure and the plastic straw is easy enough to take out and clean, and for my daughter to use without issue. Like any straw, it does flick out some liquid after a sip and it’s been closed and reopened. My daughter thinks it is hilarious when any of us gets splashed from her opening her water bottle:). The colorful pattern is easily identifiable which makes it easy to grab and go when she gets picked up from school. The whole thing is dishwasher safe and comes apart fairly easily once you learn how to take the straw out (read the instructions).
Overall this was a great buy and one we have done again(lost the first one on a road trip) and will do a third time once the youngest needs one.
I love thermos brand and these are the perfect size for little kids. My package was opened and taped when i got it. That was weird. The bottle looked new as i was worried about getting a returned/damaged bottle.
I just found out you can buy replacement straws and spouts. Super important to me because we have lost them and i didn’t want to throw away a perfect bottle and lid just because i didn’t have the straws. Will continue to buy thermos brand.
Remember leak proof when closed. This a water bottle not a sippy cup. Tommee brand sippy cups are my go to for that.
I bought this to use in bed because i have medication i have to take before i get out of bed. So i fill it up the night before, with ice. The ice is mostly melted by morning, but not completely, so it does keep cold for several hours.
Even with several washings, the water tastes of plastic (from the silicon straw perhaps? No idea, i’ve never had this problem with silicone straws before) after sitting overnight, which is not a problem i have with other water bottles.
It is technically leak-proof, but if you shake it up (with the lid closed), water will leak from the straw, and will pour out when you open the lid. If you turn it upside down with the lid open, it will spill as well. So keep upright as much as possible.
Love this item and my lil one has several ones for her different activities. Be aware that you may receive a different one than you see in the picture. I did. My pictures are the front and back of the one i received. I missed that in the fine print when purchasing. It does say they may send a different style.
Purchased for my 1.5 year old. Big fan of the munchkin stainless cat cup that doesn’t leak if assembled correctly, even when opened! This one will leak if turned upside down when opened, but does not with the lid closed. It’s risky business for my toddler to have this, for example, in his car seat with no adult sitting next to him. It also feels a little cheap, and doesn’t keep water as cold as the munchkin cat. So until someone realizes that the cat cup should come in a larger size than 8 oz., we’ll be using this slightly leaky and warmish one. I do love how easy it is to clean, overall shape for a toddler to hold, and hygienic straw setup. I switch out the plastic straw with a silicon one and it works great!
Overall a really great water bottle as long as your kid is not in the habit of chewing on the straw. Although not a big chewer, it only withstood about 2 minutes with my kiddo. Luckily i stopped it before any swallowing occurred! On the hunt for a new bottle 🙁
Easy to clean, leak proof and keeps liquids cold. I did not like that the straw connected on the inside is not as sturdy as could be.
The product did not come with water bottle labels. I was very disappointed by this.
I’m not sure why they put this kind of handle on the cup. The other style is harder to pull up but this handle flops around and gets in the way.
Other than that this cup is great. And super easy to clean. Doesn’t leak when the lid is closed. There is an air hole to allow the liquid to flow up the straw when drinking. And if it is turned upside down opened liquid will dip out. But when lid is closed it does not leak. Just use common sense and you should be fine.
Does a decent job of keeping liquid cold.
Compre el del dinosaurio y la tapa vino mala. Sera q me la pueden cambiar?
