What are our customers saying?
I am obsessed with pods because it’s mess free and great for living in an apartment with communal laundry. The three pack is very economical and i just refill my plastic tub with these instead of buying a new tub every time. No issues with skin/sensitivity.
Got these because i’ve developed a sensitivity to scented detergent. These work wonders, get the tough stains out, even works on my active wear. Will buy again.
I had this tide pods for 6 months. I admit i dont wash alot but it gets the clothes clean.
We have several in our home who are sensitive to smells and chemicals. We’ve used these dryer sheets for over five years now. They are the only ones we use. Never any static coming out of the dryer. We take the used ones and dust the house with them.
I developed a crazy itch all over my body. Took me a couple of weeks to realize that my detergent was irritating my skin. It’s not an allergy, just an irritation. But taking a cue from my son-in-law i started washing with the free and gentle by tide instead of the regular detergent. The itch is gone!
The scent in a lot of laundry soap makes my skin breakout in hives. This doesn’t give me hives and gets clothes clean
The sensitive pods are excellent in cleaning the laundry. I have not had any allergic reactions since using this product for all laundry.
I’ve used many different brands over the years, but always come back to tide. It may cost more, but it’s definitely worth it.
Convenient, easy to use pods. I appreciate that i can determine the number to use based on load size and dirt level. I wash underwear to winter horse blankets with no issues!
I have sensitive skin and don’t really like how strong other detergents smell. This is scent free, so my clothes come out smelling fresh but neutral and i have no skin reactions.
The detergent is great, but we started noticing a plastic melted into our clothes sometimes. We thought something was left in a pocket, but it continued. We thought the clothes were ruined, but luckily a second wash dissolved it. Over time we realized it was the pod casing that didn’t completely dissolve in the first washing.
Pros: easy to use, no issues with sensitive skin, gets clothes clean
cons: never know exactly how many clothes 1 pod can properly clean. I handwashed some once after they went through the washer and they left brown water despite looking clean. Lately, i have to run an extra rinse to avoid lindy soap stains on clothes (that may be a washer issue though)
Never used pods before except for trying drop pods for 3 washes. I like the fact it’s all product and no water filler. I would like this product better if the container was a disposable that won’t cause more trash in land fills!
Since i switched over to these dryer sheets, my skin problems have improved.
I really cannot open this container so i have torn off the flaps inside a couple of lids with a cutter tool, and reuse them to close container. I have used can openers, saws and other tools to get it open when new shipment arrives so i also reuse old container bases i have not damaged to get at the product. Tide has always been the best and this is great for allergies- – if you can get it open! I know kids are vulnerable but so are older adults.
I mean i guess this helps make the clothing softer, but i would have to really test without it, to see if there really is much of a difference. We got this for the price, and the fact myself and son suffer with eczema, so i don’t have to worry about this irritating our skin. Overall, it does what it should? So, i would recommend!
I’ve been buying free and gentle for a while now and i’ve noticed that the latest batch has changed again, for the worse! Tide has reduced the pods count and size of the pods but kept the price the same. The color of the pods have changed slightly but after a few washes i haven’t noticed any big changes with the detergent.
Delivered in a bag so the box was crushed . Amazon definitely needs better delivery service
I have ordered these pods for years and they typically are a milky white color. The batch i received was a clear yellow-ish. A little alarmed, i wrote to tide and they confirmed that there was an ingredient change, but it should not affect the product or allergens.
Per tide: “we removed some ingredients from the pod. This ingredient was not needed for performance and did not impact gentleness. In fact by removing, we made the pod clearer. It will be more yellow but that is from less of the ingredient. It will have the same great performance on keeping clothes clean and will be just as gentle of skin as before.”
