TurboTax Premier 2021 Tax Software, Federal and State Tax Return with Federal E-file [Yakibest Exclusive] [PC Download]

As an entrepreneur for the past 25 years i had a cpa in ny prepare my taxes as they were extremely complex as a distributor of bakery items with multiple routes and multiple employees made this task very complex. I have since sold that business and became a w-2 worker but am now an investor and have purchased hundreds of stocks and have multiple brokerage and ira accounts. I also changed jobs mid year to a new employer. After reading reviews and realizing that turbotax is the industry leader in individual tax preparation, i decided to embark on this task myself and save my $. I highly recommend purchasing the download from somewhere like amazon as they are giving discounts as of this writing. It was normally $79.99 and i paid $69.99. It also allows for up to 5 federal submissions free of charge so since i will be doing my own and my girlfriend’s as well as my mom and daughter and son in law’s it breaks down to just under $16 each!

After purchasing from amazon, i received an email with a download link and a license key. I proceeded to download the software and it installed. I just upgraded my windows 10 home to windows 11 and had no trouble installing it. Once installed, it did go and download another update. Once that completed, it asked to activate and i keyed on in the license key that i got from amazon and poof, i was up and running. I did not plan on doing my taxes until about a week before the filing deadline, but found myself intrigued and curious to see just how easy this really would be? I decided to just ‘start a new return’ and it walked me through entering in my personal information. I liked the simple screen with big boxes that were easy to read and not overbearing asking for too much info at once. After completing my personal info, it began wanting to walk me through entering my ‘income’. Again, curious and the fact that everything had gone so smoothly so far, i pulled out one of my two w-2’s just to check it out. It asked me to enter my employers ein and next thing i know it had gone online and pulled all the information that was on the w-2 and imported the electronic w-2 and put it right on the screen for me to compare what was on the screen as to what was in my hand? Everything matched! That took about 2 seconds to complete so i figured ‘that was easy, i’ll do the other w-2’ and again in a matter of a couple of seconds there that information was all filled out for me. Talk about being impressed!
Just to save reading time, i will tell you that i found myself doing this over and over for just about everything especially my dreaded investment account for stocks taht i had bought over the year. I linked my wells fargo advisors and charles schwab accounts and it brough in all my 1099 forms with everything filled out.

As i went through the program screen by screen, i found myself deeper and deeper in ‘doing my taxes’ until after about an hour had passed i found myself ‘finished’ and ready to file. That’s right, within an hour of installing the software i had gone through the entire process and was ready to file. I was thrilled to be getting back just under a thousand dollars to my surprise. Turbotax ran its checks and reviews of everything that i entered and said it all looked good. I started installing the software at 9:45pm and at 10:45pm on a wednesday night i filed by taxes with an automatic deposit selected. What a relief! All i had to do now was wait for the irs to inform me that what i submitted was acceptable. I went to get ready for bed and at 11:15pm (3 minutes later) i got a text that ‘congratulations, the irs has accepted your turbotax filed tax return!’ i was like wth? Could it have really been this easy and this fast?

I wish i could write and tell you that my deposit was in my bank account just hours later, but that would be wishful thinking. I expect it to be there within 2 weeks.

I now have my 2021 taxes completed and behind me so i can enjoy my 2022. Turbotax saved a copy of my file in a turbotax folder on my onedrive in the cloud along with a .pdf taht i can print or send to someone anytime i need to access it through out the year or years to come. I think next year will be even easier since i will now be able to access this year’s information and won’t even have to input my personal information.

All in all, i definitely give this product 5 stars. I am actually looking forward to doing taxes for my girlfriend, mom, daughter and son in law. The fact that i spent $16 instead of usually spending upward of $1k to my professional cpa as i had in the past for my business really got me excited. The product allows for 1 state return but because we all live in texas, we don’t have state income taxes. I recommend downloading the software or getting the cd over turbotax online because the online version you only get the one filing per user and they also charge you based on your return and the forms that are used during filing. I read where some people were paying near $200 in the end for filing using turbotax online.

You are allowed 5 federal e-files per license number so whether you do them all from a single pc or install the software on 5 different machines doesn’t matter. I personally created 2 from my laptop, installed and prepared one from my girlfriend’s and then installed and prepared one each for my daughter and son in law on each of their laptops so i know it works this way. They wanted the file to be saved in their place of choice to access whenever they want.

Price is a bit higher than i like, but i like the walk-through guide.

Our taxes are almost complex but with several years of experience in preparation i can get them properly filed with turbotax.

All the turbotax programs are excellent products. However, if you have a complicated return, or are not very computer literate, support is virtually non-existent. Intuit turbotax offers excellent program and tax guidance at reasonable costs. Be prepared to make many telephone calls and transfers for support.

I have used turbotax more than 10 years, with no problems. However, i have extensive tax and computer experience. Again… Great programs if your tax returns are relatively simple. If not be prepared to learn or spend more for support. Turbotax program prices are very reasonable. If you have the time and energy, you may want to give them a try… Just don’t start less than a month before your tax deadline, as you may end up going into a local tax prep service.

I have used turbo tax for years. If they had a dos version, i used it. I have used it on windows and have been very satisfied with their software. The user interface is good so things go smoothly. It’s important that you have all your tax records out and sorted so you can just go down the list. I like having the software on my computer rather than using the internet web version.

I used to go to a cpa for my tax return. Most of the time they are getting the information from me and just entering it into their system. I was paying between 450-500$ every year. So i did an extensive review of the software products and started using the turbotax. It is very helpful and guides you in each and every step.
The best part is the ‘i’ symbol next to any of the line items which gives an explanation about it. It is not perfect and very clear, but it kind of guides me to decide and do some more research on google.

Overall a great product is great and i am going to use it again.
I may get it from amazon or costco based on which one is cheaper.

It turns days of work into hours. It can grab your retirement account info and other forms right off the web and takes care of everything.
When i think of all the days i used to spend reading forms and instructions every year and how hard it was to do a new form the first time i could kick myself.

I have used turbo tax for several years and it is my go-to option for online filing of federal tax returns.
It makes an otherwise complicated process relatively straightforward by walking the user through step by step and inviting input on each relevant item of income and expenses.
The software package allows for up to 5 federal filings and i use this for the tax returns of other family members.
I have found turbo tax 2021 to be reliable and have had no difficulty with download and usage with my windows 10 pc. I note that other reviewers mention difficulties with the version downloaded in november 2021; my experience in mid january 2022 has been fine. There are frequent software updates as irs releases new guidance and forms; so i always accept the software update option when opening up my turbo tax application.
Unless your particular tax circumstance is unusually complex, i consider this to be a good option for filing your returns.

Without flaw, this turbo-tax software downloaded from site after amazon purchase, then imported last year’s turbo-tax information from existing pc file. Some of tax situations got complicated, but guidance thru this system was rather easy. Didn’t use tech support, so didn’t rate tech support. Will continue to utilize turbo-tax platform and purchase from amazon if price stays right.

Best among all other available options, as it would automatically calculate scenarios and produce the required irs forms. It is very buggy, however, when it comes to actual e-filing. It still thinks that i have not submitted my return yet, while the irs has positively confirmed it reception in full. Search intuit discussion forums for ‘you haven’t e-filed a tax return yet’.

I tried to switch to turbotax from an accountant, but tt would not use the same depreciation schedule set up 5 years ago, which was not acceptable as i have 14 large dollar items it wanted to redo the whole schedule of depreciation on. We had taken some of the incentives during the recession and this did not recognize them, like the irs does.

I have used this for two years and have been happy with it. Sometimes a bit confusing but you eventually figure it out.

This is the first time i have purchased the installed version of this software since i have been able to use online version(s) for free over the years. The biggest first thing i noticed was that i wasn’t able to import the previous years’ return since it had been done online so i didn’t have the a tax format file. Also, it doesn’t seem as intuitive for my circumstances as the online version of it which could be from the fact of not being able to import previous data. I retired 12 years ago and the financial institution i moved all my iras and 401(k) to that that time completely revamped my investments last year to suit how my situation, and mandatory rmds have changed over those years. Overall the process of entering/importing data has gone rather well and seems to be handling all the forms that are required for last year’s return.

Tt2021 installed and worked fine on my old windows 10 notebook. After reinstalling it on my new windows 11 notebook, i ran into the same issue as reported by others – a blank activation screen. I tried repairing the installation and the uninstalled and reinstalled without success. A quick search for turbotax 2021 blank activation found what i needed to do to continue. It’s a nuisance, but it worked. The issue is related to screen resolution. Changing the resolution allows the activation key to display. To enter the activation code, you’ll need to copy it and then click in the field and use ctrl+v to paste it. You won’t see any change! The code is there, so tap the key to proceed. I had to keep changing my resolution until i finally was able to complete registration and get into my tax return.

Downloaded and installed fine, activation key worked as expected. This version is half as good as the version you can use on the website, the website provides way more details about what it’s asking you to fill out. You should be able to figure it out if you’ve used the web based version but i don’t think i will ever buy the software again, even though it saved me $40 from what it would have cost.

Still had to pay a fee for my state return to be sent which i’m confused about, but maybe it’s a ks thing.

The product is easy to use. I don’t get the extra fees associated, i don’t get if i call i have to pay to talk to someone. I don’t get that i have to pay to process electronlly. Yes yes i know i don’t have to pay for a paper copy but time and nickeling me kills me. And yes i do it every year. But i mail my final product

I’ve used turbo tax for 10+ years and never had an issue with its installation, performance or accuracy. Normally, that’s a valid reason for a 5-star review, right? So why the 4 stars? The reason i is that their product will no longer run on windows 7. Yeah, i know windows says it’s expired, no longer supported and all that, but it’s a pretty solid operating system. It also works in the same manner as windows 8, 10 or 11 does. It will also remain on my pc. Now, i have to find another way to use this software. I shouldn’t have to be coerced into purchasing and installing new software, or a new pc or laptop.

No problem downloading or installing. During the install i did get ‘error 2803’ which said it couldn’t continue the install. I clicked ok and it continued and successfully installed. This is on a windows 10 machine. I had to restart the system then the program ran fine.

However it did not update automatically as it would in previous years. You have to manually install the updates.

Best price i could find so worth the minor inconveniences.

Holy smokes, it doubled my tax bill because of one box that was unexplained and i forgot to check. It took me an hour of going through every single question again to find my error. I don’t know why it didn’t catch it at the end because it had almost doubled my income and it did not match my forms at all! It really should have questioned it but it did not.
