Have used this for a month with a new dell laptop, and it’s working fine. We have a laser printer, a usb powered ‘chill pad’ fan, and the transmitter for a wireless mouse/keyboard connected to the laptop via this hub. I will note that i tried to add a usb external hard drive to the hub briefly to do a backup, and it bogged down a bit; i moved that usb external drive to the free usb port on the computer itself, and everything was fine. My only minor complaint is the very short length of the hardwired cable that connect the hub to a usb port on the laptop. That length was accurately described on the listing for the hub, so i wasn’t surprised by this – just noting that it would be a lot more convenient if i had a little more room to move the hub a few inches farther away from the computer. Overall, a good value for the money, and meets our needs.

The outer casing appears to be aluminum. Ports are sturdy and correctly sized—it’s a smooth connection to usb. I haven’t used more than three ports: cat 5 (ethernet), headset, and logitech mouse universal receiver. But, when i did all devices worked correctly. Have used for only about 16 hours, but very happy so far.

This is a great product if you want that apple like feel quality material and works perfectly for my application

Great product. It gives capacity to review 4 extension drives at one time. Easy for data research and storage. It extends your computer from 2 usb ports to another 4. Good quality and works very well

The ports in my new computer are for small connectors – with this, i can connect it to the computer, then plug my older cords into it. Works great.

In spite of amazon’s belief this hub is a camera, it’s not a camera at all. Also, i never considered the quality of its material as being a factor when buying it. As for what it is–a usb hub–it’s does what it is supposed to do, and i have no complaints.

No errors or strange behavior when plugging in. Works on both pc and mac. Would definitely buy again.

I had an issue with the unit, contacted them and they resolved it quick and very professionally. Companies like this deserve to be around for life.

Worked fine until i connected a hdd. Assuming it was a power draw issue, i connected an ssd. Still nope. Hub just has a heart attack or something and gives up, or does it?

After starting a return for this item, i canceled my return. I moved this device away from wireless sources and for the bluetooth adapter i was using, that i placed at the end of an old usb 2.0 cable. The interference is not the fault of the device as much as it is with usb 3.0. I found other similar hubs will have shielded ports or usb 2.0 ports for wireless devices.

Just got a new macbook pro and needed an adapter from usb-c to regular usb to hook up to my external hard drive and printer. Works perfectly and the price was great.

New macbooks only offer usb-c ports. Sigh. Oh apple! Most of us have usb-3 flash drives and thumb drives. One could buy adapters. But this one dongle provides access for four devices while keeping the other two usb-c ports free. More cost effective this way than buying a series of adapters.

Does intended job.

Nothing crazy but does the job and what i need i haven’t had any problems with it yet and it isn’t showing any signs of it!

Needed one of these asap with a new mac air purchase, came fast and is stiff but works!

All usb devices plugged into the hub work great. The only issue is that my logitech wireless mouse is very glitchy when plugged into the hub.

It is nice to quit juggling cords, although my external camera doesn’t seem to work when connected to this device.

The device works as described. I do wish the usb c cable was removable, if it goes the whole thing is basically garbage so fingers crossed that doesn’t happen.

Build quality is good, it has a little heft to it which is nice. Time will tell if it travels well and if it wears well.

But it gets the job done

I have one on my laptop and my intel nuc both working well so far doesn’t seem to heat the flash drives as much as the usb 2s or 3s did.
