For much of the past spring, a chorus of crickets outside my window disturbed my ability to get proper sleep. Their racket caused me to sleep lightly most days, due to my watch that tracks my sleep. They finally retired further from my window, once fall came. But by then i already had insomnia from lack of proper sleep. For the past couple of nights, i take one of the max strength gummies, so that is 5 mg and i am out for at least 5-6 hours. Last night it was 7 hours, 4 light sleep hours, and 3 deep, which is a vast improvement. They taste great, like all vitafusion gummies and they work! I did feel a bit groggy when i woke up, but i’d rather be groggy, then sleep-deprived. Maybe 5mg is too strong for me. Lol!

These are awesome! They don’t make you drowsy the next day like some sleep aides. No one wants to feel 2 feet thick the next day! They taste great and give you that little edge to help get to sleep which is what most of us need. If you are worried about the serial murderer loose in the neighborhood terrorizing and killing people these probably won’t help but if you just want to get a restful night and not feel like you took something the night before these will do the trick!

These things work. This was my first time using meatonin and let me tell you… I have been sleeping straight through the night with these. It also makes me fall asleep faster. I found the dose it shows on the package is for 2 gummys. I started using just one and it works perfectly fine for me. I will also try to space them out as i don’t want to become dependent on them for sleep.

I usually have to take ambien every night in order to get any amount of sleep..but it doesn’t always work. There are night where i don’t even fall asleep or if i do i only sleep for 2-3 hours before waking up & not being able to fall back to sleep. So for those kinds of situations i also take some melatonin, this brand in particular that i love, in addition and it really does help. It calms my mind & body in order to relax and eventually fall asleep. It really helps during those times i can’t sleep. I would definitely recommend this product for people who suffer from insomnia or even for those who just need a little extra help with sleep routine.

First night i took 2 gummies as the bottle stated the maximum to take is 2 only, it worked wonders, especially since the fact i had a death scare last halloween, it hasn’t been easy for me with the sleepless nights and being on edge by staying up late and worrying, would heavily recommend this product for very troubled sleepers like me

I bought these gummies using prime and had them delivered using 2-day shipping. The gummies arrived in perfect condition, and were not melted at all. The gummies left a waxy residue on the inside of the bottle, but this has no affected the gummies themselves.

Taste-wise, these gummies have a peach-like flavour. They are similar in taste to the peach vitafusion multivites gummies. Personally, i’m a fan!

I am taking melatonin as i suffer from delayed sleep phase syndrome (dsps) and i naturally fall asleep around 3am and wake up by 12pm. I am trying to shift my circadian rhythm so that i fall asleep by 12am. As this was my first experience with melatonin, i ate a single gummy (1.5mg melatonin) before bedtime (10pm). This made me sleepy within 15 minutes of taking it. This sleepiness did not feel natural, it was more of a drugged feeling, and my mind and body felt sluggish. I fell asleep and awoke the next day at 1.30pm, still feeling drugged (the melatonin ‘hangover’). This meant 1.5mg was too high of a dose and i needed to reduce the amount.

The next night, i cut a single gummy (~0.4mg) into quarters, and ate 1 of those quarters before bedtime. I began feeling sleepy 15-20 minutes later, and went to bed. However, my brain did not go into sleep-mode, and i was conscious of being sleepy but unable to fall asleep. I also woke up frequently throughout the night and had trouble going back to sleep.

I will continue experimenting with this until i figure out the goldilocks amount of melatonin that i need, or until i give up. My process is to take half of a gummy (~0.7mg) next, and either increase or reduce the amount by 1/8. If this does not work, i may switch to the extended release 300mcg tablets, or the liquid melatonin (0.25mg per drop).

If you suffer from dsps like i do, then taking a higher dosage of melatonin will likely not have the desired effect we need to shift the circadian rhythm. In fact, the body may become unresponsive to the higher dosage or melatonin, so that it will no longer have any effect. Research tends to suggest that dsps sufferers benefit from very low doses of extended-release melatonin (between 0.3mg and 1 mg), meaning that 1.5mg, 3mg, 2.5mg, and 5mg are all possibly far too high for us. However, even though we are trying to alert the body that it is time to sleep using melatonin, the body itself may reject it as according to its circadian rhythm (and the time the body begins releasing its own melatonin), it is not time to sleep as yet. In such cases, the external melatonin may not have any effect.

The main points to come away with are: melatonin may work for dsps sufferers, or it may not. It depends on how the body reacts to it. Melatonin should not be taken as a ‘sleeping pill’, as it is a hormone that regulates your circadian rhythm. If your circadian rhythm is fine and in sync with society’s norms (i.e. You fall asleep at a ‘normal’ hour and wake up at a ‘normal’ hour in time for a 9-5 job), then you should not take melatonin. Even though these gummies are delicious, you should only give them to children under medical supervision, as it is a hormone and can have an impact on puberty. People have reportedly felt depressed while taking melatonin, so use your discretion. If you realize your mood is being altered, stop taking melatonin and speak to a medical practitioner. If you feel drugged or lethargic, reduce the amount of melatonin that you are taking. There are more side effects that you may experience while taking melatonin, so please take some time to read these before taking this gummy.

I will continue to update this review from time to time to share my ongoing experiences with these melatonin gummies in hopes that it will help other dsps sufferers out there.

Update: february 14th, 2019. A little over 1 year later.
These gummies are effective for me, in terms of making me sleepy. Initially, i only needed a small amount, but then i needed 1 whole gummy, then a bit more than 1 whole gummy, and now i’m onto needing two whole gummies. I’m very sad to say that the melatonin did not actually work in terms of helping me adjust my circadian rhythm. Instead, they do act like a sleeping aid, where they make me drowsy, and i would have a very restful, undisturbed, almost drugged sleep. Even people being noisy didn’t wake me up. I don’t feel drugged when i wake up though, i feel very refreshed. I’ve now stopped using these unless i need to wake up early. At this point i’m using it like a sleeping aid, which wasn’t what i had initially planned. I sincerely hope it helps you in regulating your circadian rhythm. It just doesn’t seem like it’ll work out that way for me.

I literally buy at least 2 bottles of these every month. I have really bad insomnia. I’m even prescribed sleeping medicine for it but i don’t like having to take them every night so i use these instead. The strawberry flavor is great and they don’t make me nauseous like a lot of other sleeping medicine does. I got my boyfriend, best friend, and my brother all buying them now too

These are by far my favorite gummies. Now for me, they don’t knock me out but definitely help me sleep better at night and rest my mind. I love the flavor and the texture, they’re so soft feeling?! It’s a good thing i promise.

My husband and i were taking 5 mg pills of melatonin prior to discovering this product. It’s not only delicious, but you truly get a good night’s sleep and don’t feel drowsy the next morning if taken an hour before your bedtime. The daily dose says 2 gummies for 10 mg, but we find that 1 gummy (5 mg) works great for us.

One of the main differences i noticed from the pills, is that the gummies don’t make me have wild/random dreams like the pills lol

I’ve been taking these a while. They are better tasting than others i have tried. As for sleep quality, i can’t really say. I have read melatonin helps with immune system and why i take them. My only complaint is the last bottle i got was a big sticky gob of gummies. I’ve never had that happen before. These are all stuck together and i have to use a spoon to separate them to take out 2. Mine are stored in a dry place. They came to me that way. I suppose i should have returned them. They were sealed up like always just stuck together this time.

Had tried a different brand of melatonin before without success, but a friend recommended these and so far they are great. Not sure if it is a placebo effect, but these have gotten me to sleep within 15 minutes every night since i started using them. Very happy about that as i have major issues with insomnia, and prescription medications often don’t work and tend to give me headaches. So far, i am having no side effects with the melatonin and it has been very effective – only been taking these for a few weeks but am very encouraged.

They do help me get to sleep, and i don’t quite feel half dead when my alarm goes off at 5:30. I was a bit disappointed in the taste though. Vitafusion usually makes one of the best-tasting gummies, but this one missed the mark.

I never really taken melatonin before! Always been on some kind of sleep medicine from the doctor! Some nights my meds aren’t working to the fullest so i have to add little something extra! This isn’t just gonna do it on its own! Keep in mind that not everyone is the same or has the same reactions!! Doesn’t seem to effect taking with my seroquel! Which is a good thing! Yummy berry flavor! Can take one! Can take two! Doesn’t make me drowsy or disoriented in the mornings! I also bought a jar and got it shipped to my daughter! Little help getting her a good night sleep too
i would recommend this to others

I have used this product before and have purchased it consistently for about a year. When i opened my new bottle, i discovered the gummies were melted. I can pull them apart (and hopefully get the dosage right) but it would be great to have an unmelted product! Consider purchasing in store to avoid this, maybe?

I have not fallen asleep so fast in years. Wishing i had used melatonin sooner. Awake rested and not groggy like with sleeping pills.

It works, but usually i have to take 2 or 3 to see any effect.
