The assorted bag is not so assorted, most are very small bands and not worth it. Very colorful but small, hardly go around an ear. Forget this

I think a couple of the largest bands would fit around a shoe-box but, you would be stretching it pretty much to its limit.

Are these compostable?
I purchased three one pound bags of size 32 rubber bands. This product was all rubber and is able to be composted. I have bought mix sizes in the past and most of them seemed to be partially plastic in nature i think that you can take it from there.
Will these go around a notebook that is 9 inches wide and about 2 inches thick?
They will – but they’re not very good quality and will probably break when you put them around the notebooks. Go with a name brand instead of these.
Can it be used to wrap vegetables? Or is the food grade?
Don’t know the law’s for food products. Sorry. I would not.

You know, i’ve seen prices like this before as well. It is most likely a misprint, but if it isn’t, look for the same product from another seller. The price will be what is reasonable.

Having delivered papers for a number of years, i’d suggest scouting out a more substantial product. Might work on a weekday edition, but not weekend.
